Unlocking the power of Mobile Banking through Machine Learning and Personalization

I led the redesign of the Capital One mobile app’s Home and Account View pages—two of the most visited touchpoints by over 124 million monthly logins. Despite its critical role, the app had not been updated since 2007. I spearheaded a cross-functional team of designers, analysts, developers, and product managers to reimagine the experience, integrating personalization and Machine Learning to enhance usability and engagement. This project impacts all major business lines: Card, Bank, Small Business, and Partnerships. I built key alliances across the organization, securing executive buy-in from multiple VPs and product leads to drive this transformation.

As Design Lead, I established a long-term vision for Capital One's Secured Card Funding Portal, focusing on AI and machine learning capabilities. Through strategic cross-functional collaboration and executive alignment, we're transforming this crucial revenue stream (4.4M+ accounts) into a scalable, intelligent system - starting with a testable near-term experience designed to improve conversion rates and lay the foundation for future innovation.
